Bitcoin investment firm NYDIG has announced its partnership with professional baseball team New York Yankees.
The company will serve as the baseball club’s official payroll platform.
According to a survey by NYDIG, more than a third of employees under the age of 30 want to be paid in Bitcoin.
Kelly Brewster, CMO of NYDIG, says this partnership will further its mission of “bringing Bitcoin to everyone”.
Aryn Sobo, Yankees Vice President of Human Resources, Employment and Labor Law, said the partnership will help improve the employee experience.
Cryptocurrency companies have signed deals with many sports clubs to promote their brands during the bull market. According to the report of the New York Post, many of these deals are broken due to the bear market.
